Blaise is a director at W.consulting and a JSE-accredited IFRS advisor. His areas of expertise include IFRS, IFRS for SMEs, IPSAS and SA Standards of GRAP. He provides technical consulting services and training to the firm’s clients on these financial reporting frameworks, both locally and internationally.  He served for two terms as a board member of the South African Accounting Standards Board (ASB) and, during his term of office, chaired the Technical Committee of the ASB and served on its Operations Committee.

He has served as Deputy Chair of the SAICA APC from 2018. In July 2022, he was appointed as a member of the IASB’s Small and Medium-sized Entities Implementation Group.

In July 2022, he was appointed as a member of the South African Financial Reporting Standards Council.
