the dtic invites interested companies in the agro-processing sector to apply for funding to participate at the largest trade exhibition in the Middle East, the Gulfood 2027 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE), from 15 to 19 March 2027.
The Middle East’s rapidly growing population is driving a growing demand for food and agro-processed products which will continue to rise in the next five years presenting enormous opportunities for food exports and regional trade partnerships. South Africa will participate in the fine food pavilion which focuses on agro-processing products excluding: meat, confectionery, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Applications close 15 October 2026 at 16:00.

the dtic invites exporters to participate in the Korea International Boat Show (KIBS) from 12 - 14 March 2027 in Goyang Si, South Korea. The deadline date for the submission of completed National Pavilion application forms is 12 October 2026.
The KIBS is Korea’s premier marine leisure exhibition at the Korea International Exhibition Centre (KINTEX). The KIBS showcases the latest boats, yachts and marine technologies, and brings together manufacturers, service providers and enthusiasts. The show includes business networking product displays and conferences pertaining to sailing lifestyle and market trends and yacht care.
The Department of Trade, Industry and Competition (the dtic) will be participating in various exhibitions, trade shows and National Pavilions to promote locally manufactured products in international markets. The department invites manufacturers and registered exporters to participate in the international trade shows listed in the links below. If your company is competitive in the South African market, has been in business for at least two years and is export ready, it stands to benefit from the dtic's Export Marketing and Investment Assistance scheme.
17 – 21 October 2026
the dtic invites exporters interested in attending the 2026 SIAL Paris International Food Products Exhibition from 17 – 21 October to apply to be a South African National Pavilion participant. SIAL Paris is a leading international food exhibition hosted every two years and is an ideal platform for South African exporters to showcase food products, engage with international buyers and explore new export market opportunities. Applications close on 11 June 2026. All applications must be emailed to: BMorudi@thedtic.gov.za. No courier or posted applications will be accepted.
With the help of the dtic’s Export Marketing and Investment Assistance (EMIA) scheme, qualifying local companies can expand internationally through participation in the dtic’s trade missions.
Trade missions are events aimed at promoting locally manufactured products and services in international markets.
Who qualifies?
• Companies that are competitive in the South African market
• Companies that have been in business for at least two years
• Companies that are export-ready
Interested companies are encouraged to check the dtic’s website for recruitment advertisements for each trade mission.
The Department of Trade, Industry and Competition (the dtic) invites interested companies in the healthcare sector to apply for funding to participate in the South African National Pavilion at the 2026 Global Health Exhibition in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia from 26 – 29 October 2026. The Global Health Exhibition is the largest gathering of healthcare professionals and innovators in the Middle East region. The event seeks to accelerate digital transformation, advance new models of healthcare and build a more integrated tech-driven healthcare ecosystem. The event encompasses medical equipment and devices, healthcare and general services, orthopaedics, wellness and prevention programmes. Applications close on 18 June 2026 at 12:00 and no late applications will be accepted
