The Department of Trade Industry and Competition (the dtic), in partnership with the KwaZulu-Natal Department of Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs (EDTEA) will, next week, embark on an awareness and information-sharing road show in various parts of KwaZulu-Natal.

During the four-day roadshow, the two departments and other agencies will share information on how companies, businesses and informal traders can access the various economic rebuilding packages. These packages are meant to assist businesses and informal traders affected by the July civil unrests.

The South African Special Risks Insurance Association (SASRIA), National Empowerment Fund (NEF), Industrial Development Corporation (IDC), Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF), Small Enterprise Finance Agency (SEFA), Department of Small Business Development (DSBD), Ithala, Solidarity Fund, Old Mutual and Nedbank will also be part of the roadshow.

These institutions will also provide updates on their interventions thus far and on applications received and approvals thereof.

The roadshow will be rolled out as follows:
