The Minister of Trade, Industry and Competition, Mr Parks Tau will participate in the AIM Congress that takes place on 7 – 9 September 2026 in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

This is a flagship investment platform of the AIM Global Foundation, held annually in the UAE and convenes senior government officials, investors, and business leaders to address global economic challenges and explore investment opportunities.

Tau says platforms such as the AIM Congress are particularly important because they provide an opportunity to position South Africa as a credible, competitive and attractive destination for investment.

“We recognise that investment is not simply about capital flows. It is about building productive economies, creating decent and sustainable jobs, developing industrial capacity, transferring skills and technology, and expanding opportunities for our people. South Africa has significant strengths that we continue to place before the international investment community — including our sophisticated financial and services sectors, established industrial capabilities, extensive infrastructure, abundant natural resources, world-class institutions and our strategic position as a gateway to the African continent,” he said.

On the 8th, Minister Tau is expected to address the High-Level Ministerial Roundtable on Investment to be held under the theme; “Investment 4.0: Shaping a Resilient and Intelligent Global Economy.”
