The South African exporters who have received support from the Department of Trade, Industry and Competition (the dtic) to showcase their proudly South African products and services at the Feira International De Angola (FILDA), in Luanda from 21-26 July 2026 are registering promising trade leads. The exporters are from the agro-processing, steel and metal fabrication, engineering and mining, and chemicals sectors.
The Chief Executive Officer of Cubicle Solutions, Ms Sue Lammas is showcasing the company’s complete changing room solutions at the fair. The company is a leading manufacturer of toilet and shower cubicles, lockers and benches for commercial facilities, including gyms, shopping malls and hospitals. Lammas says the company has already exported its products to the Democratic Republic of Congo, Zambia, Ghana, Tanzania, Nigeria and Botswana.
“This is a significant opportunity to expand our offerings, and we are excited about bringing our products and solutions to the Angolan market and other markets across Africa. We are already receiving a strong response, including enquiries from government regarding potential projects, and we look forward to the remainder of the exhibition,” says Lammas.
The Managing Director of Getzz Projects Engineering, Mr Eldridge Hendricks says the event has offered an excellent platform to present their products and services to a diverse audience.
“This is an exciting opportunity for the firm, with visitors showing great enthusiasm for the company’s offerings. We have already received strong interest from local customers in Luanda, as well as companies from Portugal. The experience has been highly rewarding and ranks among the best exhibitions we have attended,” adds Hendricks.
The Sales Engineer of Hydraform, Ms Aphelele Kali, says the company is using the platform offered by FILDA to expand its footprint in Angola and explore opportunities in the mining and property development sectors. Her company manufactures hydraulic compression machines that produce interlocking building blocks using soil or laterite soil mixed with approximately 8 to 10% cement, eliminating the need for mortar between the blocks during construction.
“The company has already supplied machines to non-governmental organisations, government institutions, and entrepreneurs in Angola. We aim to expand our presence in Angola by targeting the mining sector and property developers. We are eager to secure new partnerships and orders during the exhibition,” says Kali.
“Since the exhibition opened, we have received strong interest, including from an existing client who is looking to upgrade to a higher-production plant for a school construction project. We appreciate the support for creating the opportunity for the company to showcase its technology and expand its reach in the Angolan market,” she adds.
FILDA is the largest international business and multi-sector exhibition in Angola. The 2025 edition attracted approximately 1,800 companies from 18 countries, generating business volume exceeding $60 million.
