| The Department of Trade and Industry (the dti) together with government partners will support Small Medium and Micro Enterprises (SMMEs) operating in the mining sector to showcase their products and services during the Mining Indaba Conference taking place at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC), from 3-6 February 2020.
The companies hail from different parts of the country, and will be provided with opportunities to meet with buyers and investors. The exhibition will be held alongside the Mining Indaba Conference on the precinct of the CTICC. the dti will also host a Mining Investment Seminar on Tuesday, 4 February 2020 under the theme “Accelerating Mining Investments through Innovation”. The Acting Head of InvestSA within the dti, Mr Yunus Hoosen says the South African Mining Investment Seminar will provide a forum for South African companies and investors to engage government on issues affecting the sector and provide information on the investment climate of South Africa mining as a whole. “Government will also deliberate on foreign direct investment in the past 20 years specifically looking at mining in South Africa and the rest of the continent,”. On 5 February 2020, Team SA will host a Match-making and Technical Networking session at the FNB Portside Building. The purpose of the session is for South African companies to network and meet one on one with potential investors from other parts of the world. Mining Indaba is the world’s largest mining investment event in the world bringing together almost 7000 delegates from over 90 countries, with the aim to bring investment to Africa. Enquiries: |
