The Department of Trade, Industry and Competition (the dtic) invites you to attend online training of Introduction to Exporting Training of the Global Exporter Passport Programme (GEPP). Introduction to Exporting.
The training covers the following topics planned to be delivered for a duration of four days (3hrs. daily),
- Complete export cycle,
- Differences between local and international trade
- Modes of transport, Methods of payment, foreign currencies and exchange controls,
- Export documentation, Freight cost elements, Duties & VAT
- Customs procedure and declarations, role players in the export value chain and their
responsibilities (customs, clearing agents) - Tariff & non-tariff barriers, Trade Regulations
- Incoterms 2020, Insurance methods and techniques
Outcome of the training: Understanding Export Cycle, Processes and Logistics
The training is scheduled to take place as follows,

Venue: Online via Zoom
Interested companies are requested to complete the GEPP assessment form and submit it to TMaroga@thedtic.gov.za
NB: the training targets only 30 companies on first come- first serve basis
